Rutabaga is a 4-piece indie rock supergroup originally formed in Des Moines, Iowa. With members who played in Munk Rivers, Plumero, and Allegra Hernandez’s band, this group combines each of its members’ unique styles of playing to create an indie rock sound with an infectious groove and insightful lyrics. Every unique identity and musical background in Rutabaga gives the band a captivating sound that is a true reflection of what talent and friendship sound like.

An Iowa native, Woods has been performing regularly since 2002 and has released 4 albums (two solo albums, and two backed by his unparalleled band, The Thunderbolts). Matt is a seasoned performer who is excited to share the diversity of roots and blues which includes, traditional delta, hill country and urban electric blues, to gospel, country and folk music.
